The five elements in DHARMI® YOGA
The five elements in the DHARMI YOGA® practice consist of Earth, Water, Fire, Air,and Ether.
These key elements are integrated into the yoga practice taking in consideration the moon cycles, the seasons and the specific needs of our students.
The element of Earth represents our foundation and grounding. Through this element, we strengthen the immune system and support a harmonious embodiment.
Water integrates the digestive system, the fascias, the flexibility.
With Fire, we balance stira (strengthening) and sukha (lenghtening). We tune in to the natural rhythm of our heart.
The element of Air is focused on pranayamas, breathing techniques. Through this element, we explore the depth and rhythm of the breath, and the connection between the mind and body.
Ether is the element that connects all together, a sense of oneness and union. We experience the interconnectedness of the five bodies.
