Interconnectedness

When we practice yoga with mindfulness in all five bodies we experience a sense of interconnectedness. It feels as if we bring the pieces of the puzzle together. Which then brings us to a space of contentment and ease.

When in sukhasana, easy pose, we sit on a pillow with our legs crossed.

We tune in our intention that reminds us to dedicate our practice to a higher purpose, for the best of all beings.

When we bring awareness to the breath, we observe it’s warmth, it’s rhythm, it’s depth. Focusing the mind to observe and influence our breath for wellbeing supports clarity. We learn to direct our attention to the present, releasing attachments or expectations. A harmonious breath supports balance in the central nervous system.

We lengthen our spine and feel a slight uplifting from the core center to the middle of the neck to the crown of the head. We access our center line be balancing the right and left brain, as well as the pressure of the right and left hands that are in prayer position in front of our heart. We are active and take leadership to balance the intensity of our fire. We are fully engaged in our alignment.

When we are alert we notice more subtle levels within us. Deepening mindfulness helps to balance the enteric nervous system which is directly linked with our emotional body and intuition.

We embody the intention through our whole being. Our physical body is the temple of our soul. Learning to ground ourselves reminds us that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Release human-doing and embrace the human-being experience.
